I have the same problem, when I upload images with total commander I checked make filenames lowercase, and when I edit my page in html i always use lowercase in images's link. It is annoying, is there a way to set lowercase in snipping tool e.g via registry?

Thank You

Personally I like the intuitive way how Office OneNote handles screenshots better:
Press Windows + S, Mark the area you want a screenshot off and paste it into any app from your clipboard.
If they just could integrate such functionality directly into Windows (plus alpha support for snipping Aero windows like http://windowclippings.com/) itself like the magnifying stuff...

Well you are most likely on apache. If you switch to IIS your life would be much better. I think its dumb for web documents to be case sensitive. It just makes it so confusing serving documents. Why on earth would you need to name two file the exact same but with different casing and serve that from your web server? The web server shouldn't be case sensitive.

I personally think that most of Windows is pretty inconsistent when you compare many of the dialogs. If some dialogs, like the display properties dialog have been converted over to use the aero and web style controls, it leaves me wondering why they haven't done the same thing with all the other windows configuration dialogs. Its as easy as using the same style window as a container and just coping the older dialog into it and putting tabs elsewhere like on the side. does any of this make sense to anyone else or do i need to show a comparison and a mock-up?

Agreed. Win8 suggestion... *ALL* files and file extensions will default to lower case for every single dialog box in every single application :)

I personally beleive that these days files with upper/mixed case file extensions is just bad.

Same goes with all caps filenames.

Why Windows even saves a case sensitive extension is beyond me, when you consider that Windows is case insesitive when opening a file.
