Windows 7 RC2 Build 7224 Videos

(Follow me on Twitter: msftkitchen)

UPDATE 1: Apparently, these videos are indeed fake. I was informed that the wallpaper being used in the video is one found on Deviant Art: Click Here So, another day, another fake. Shame, indeed.

UPDATE 2: Well, for those of you doing the play-by-play, someone’s either running along with the fake or the build is indeed real. The following 3 images were emailed to me (I’m not going to keep updating this post after this unless it’s proven that this build is indeed the real deal):

————–Original Post Starts Here—————-

Thanks to user LatestHitz on YouTube for informing me of these! Apparently, a couple of shakycam clips have been posted of a Microsoft employee’s Windows 7 RC2 desktop. The build string reads as follows:

Build 7224.0.amd64fre.winmain.090528-1309

The build appears to have a spiffy new wallpaper amongst the obviously new build string. These videos were posted overnight and supposedly from the, “employee tent” at an event in Taiwan called, “Computex.” Whether or not these are real, I’m not sure; they could’ve easily been faked. With that being said, they could also very easily be real, so don’t rule them out immediately! If this is real, however, this is the first look at an RC2 build to come out of winmain that’s not in the SP1 build range that wzor.info has been posting information of lately. As far as that goes, wzor.info had listed build 7225 as being compiled on May 29, 2009, so the date for the build in these video clips may just be the real deal. Here they are:
